Sigma Chapter puts great pride in the effort we put into our initiation program. It is a 7 –8 week program, which gives the Initiate the opportunity to get to know the Brotherhood and how our organization runs and for the Brotherhood to get to know you. The program is a process to help Initiates prepare to become good Brothers. It also prepares you for the National Fraternity exam at the end of the program.
To be eligible to rush Phi Sigma Pi, you must: · Have a GPA of 3.0 in order to join · Have at least two active semesters left (not including the semester you are planning on pledging) · Be a full-time student at Millersville University (at least 12 credits)
As part of the initiation process, you would be expected · Interview all active Brothers · Attend mandatory events including meetings and two weekends. · Become familiar with Phi Sigma Pi’s local and national history. · Attend regular business meetings on Mondays at 9 pm · Attend Initiation activities on Thursdays at 9 pm · Attend two mandatory weekends. Tripod Weekend is in the middle of the Initiation program and is a weekend of bonding with the Brotherhood and fun activities to help you grow as a potential Brother.
Pledge Class requirements: as a class, you would be expected to organize and implement · 1 social event · 1 service event · 1 fundraising event
All parts of initiation serve an important purpose. They are meant for the Brotherhood and the initiate to get to know each other and for the initiate to learn what we as a Fraternity are about. |
