A Note from the President: As we started the semester, our main focus was on building a more unified Brotherhood, despite our low numbers. We had two nationally inactive Brothers, Angela Jean Huff and Kelly Marie Mader, studying abroad in London, while 21 active Brothers remained to help the initiation process and recruit more Brothers. We did this successfully, welcoming six new Brothers to our family on November 3rd. This semester has been one of emotion and change. Initiation is on its way to being fresh and new again in the hope that perspective brothers will find interest in our group. New and creative events are being offered by all committees, offering Brothers a diversity of events in which to bond with their fellow Brothers. Although we will be losing four active, wonderful, and amazing Brothers and welcoming them as Alumni, the Brotherhood will continue to grow into one of positive reinforcement of what we stand for: leadership, fellowship and scholarship. As of now, Founder’s Day is planned for Saturday, April 19, 2007. We are planning on having the awards, dinner, and dance at the Harrisburg Hilton. We are hosting this event with the Beta Eta Chapter at Lock Haven. There is a possibility that we will be doing a scholarship event in Harrisburg before the banquet. Please contact me (lhfreedm@marauder.millersville.edu) if you are interested in attending and look for more information on the Alumni list serve. |
