Millersville University

National co-ed honor fraternity

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions about Phi Sigma Pi

1.  Do you drink alcohol?

Many of the Brothers do consume alcohol, though not all.  However, at no fraternity event are you required to partake in the consumption of alcohol, and all initiation activities are dry.

2.  Do you haze?

No.  Hazing is not allowed by our national office, local institution, or chapter bylaws.

3.  What does it mean to be a "Brother for life"?

Exactly that.  On becoming a brother of Phi Sigma Pi you are a Brother until death or expulsion.

4.What if I can't be active for all of college?

We require that you be an active member in our chapter for at least two full semesters.  You have the option of petitioning for local or national inactivity which will be voted on by the Brotherhood.

5.Why should I join?

Phi Sigma Pi is like a family away from home.  Many people find themselves searching for a place to fit in at their new college.  Phi Sigma Pi offers you the opportunity to find that place as well as help the Millersville Community through a number of service projects and other activities in and around Millersville.

6.How much are dues?

Dues are $109 per semester.  These dues include $54 dollars that go to our national office to help provide for the fraternity on a national level.  The remaining $45 stay within the chapter to help pay for projects we do throughout the semester.  We do hold a number of fundraisers in which you can participate to offset the cost of your dues.  Payment plans are also available. Our dues are the lowest on campus!

7.I am interested in hearing more about your organization, who can I contact?

Feel free to send any questions or concerns to pspsigma@yahoo.com or stop anyone you see on campus wearing our letters to inquire about our organization.  We are all more than willing to speak with you to help you make a decision that may change your life forever.

8.I like what I have read so far, but I don't go to Millersville.  Is there a chapter at my school?

There is a complete list of chapters on our Phi Sigma Pi National Website.  If your school is not listed and you are interested in starting a chapter, please contact National Headquarters for more information.
