Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)

Mission Statement- In accordance with the constitution and by-laws of the Millersville University Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the purpose of this organization is to promote the welfare and education of exceptional children and youth and also, to develop professional attitudes and standards among its members and engaged in or interested in the welfare and education of such children and youth.

A message from the President:

_____I want to thank you all for yet another great year! It has been an honor to work with each and every one of the graduating seniors, as well as all the other members of this organization. I want to give a special thank you to the executive board members graduating in the Spring : Jacqueline Midiri, Courtney Howes, Claire Eaton, Megan Senft, and Ali Shultz. I also want to say thank you to the executive board members who will be graduating next winter and have opted to not be on our board next year : Megan Hurst and Val Levan. Good luck to all of you and have a safe summer.

To the rest of you, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe summer and I am looking forward to next year!

A message from the President Elect:

I would like to thank all the returning CEC members for their committment to our organization. I am so excited for next year and all the activities that we are in the process of planning. We are working on some new programs as well as more oppertunities to volunteer in the community. Changes for next year also include expanding our fundraisers to extend throughout the semester. I am am looking forward to seeing you all in the fall! Have a wonderful summer and make sure to tell our your friends about joining next year!

The Pennsylvania State CEC Convention will be held in the Fall in Harrisburg, PA. If you are interested in attending, please let Shawn McMullen know before the end of September!

The National CEC convention will be held in Boston Massacheusetts next year. If you are interested in atending please contact Shawn McMullen before March 1st so accomodations can be made. If there are enough interested members, Millersville CEC might cover the registration fee.
