- The butterfly garden looks like it will be ready to plant soon - the soil has now been
tilled as of Tuesday, April 30th.
- The biggest thing we discussed was next semester's Insect Appreciation Day. We're planning
on holding the bulk of the activities (besides the inauguration of the b-fly garden and the
seminar) out on the Quad.
- Possible events include beetle racing, cricket spitting contests, the releasing of
butterflies, and a cookout. The contests will have t-shirt prizes ("I was the cricket
spitting champ at the MU Insect Appreciation Day and all I got was this t-shirt", etc.).
We were also thinking about selling hissing cockroaches.
- Other ideas are of course welcome. Advertisements for the event should go out ASAP seeing as
how early in the semester we are having it.
- The next meeting we will be having officer elections as well, so come on out!
